HOW IT’S GOING:

After completing my degree in 2015, I wanted to broaden my horizons with music even more and started to try my hand at weddings. Since then, I've done over 100 weddings, and seeing the joy on people's faces that I'm able to help them obtain on what could be the biggest/best day of their lives was a new feeling that, after experiencing 100 times, doesn't get old. When I'm not turning knobs on my DJ mixer, I like to turn knobs in the kitchen and try out as many different recipes as I can find. If I'm not cooking or watching my vinyl spin, I'm watching a compass dial spin as I plan my next trip to a new place; Vegas is my favorite so far but only because I haven't made it to Hawaii yet. I can't wait to talk to you about your next event and help make it more than you imagined!

how it started:

Hey - I’m Rhys! I've been a resident of Huntington, WV for the last 10 years by way of the small town Alderson, WV; where our claim to fame is that's where Martha Stewart went to prison. After arriving in Huntington in 2011 to go to school at Marshall, I realized a passion for music that I didn't know I had. I used to always have the iPod with the most diverse music when I was a kid, not to brag but I had 63 different versions of "Crank That" at one time. There was rarely a time when I didn't have a song available. This passion for music was unlocked when I joined a fraternity. From the first moment I was able to, I was in control of the music with my iPod any chance I could.

Fast forward a year and I bought a little set of turntables to "look more legit" and I like to think it worked. I started to work in all of the nightspots in Huntington and fell in love with what I was doing. In 2014, I earned the privilege to DJ for the Ying Yang Twins when they held a concert at Marshall which is one of the coolest things I think I can say I've done, along with doing countless events for Marshall in all different environments.
